Brush Recycling Center

Brush, leaves, and grass clippings can be dropped off at the Bitters Brush Recycling Center or the newly opened Nelson Gardens Brush Recycling Center to be recycled into nutrient-rich mulch that can be purchased by residents to use in their lawns and gardens.

The Nelson Gardens Brush Recycling Center opened in March 2012 on the City's south side and offers the same type of services currently provided at the Bitters Brush Recycling Center. The Nelson Gardens Brush Recycling Center was an FY 2011 budget initiative in which the City invested approximately $3.7 million.
