A Public Hearing will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the City Council Chamber, Municipal Plaza Building.  This will be the second of two U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development required city-wide public hearings for the City’s Consolidated Annual Action Plan/Budget process for the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG – 38th Year), Home Investment Partnership Grant (HOME – 21st Year), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.        _________________________________

What We Do

The Office of Grants Monitoring and Administration (GMA) is the trustee of federal funds allocated to the City of San Antonio by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  San Antonio is considered an entitlement community which receives  federal allocations based on a formula.  GMA is the recipient/trustee of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Grant (HOME). Current Events

FY 2013 Budget Development Schedule for CDBG, HOME, ESG and HOPWA Grant Programs 

The Fiscal Year 2013 Budget development has been begun for the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities with AIDS (HOPWA) Funds.  A Request for Application (RFA) for affordable housing projects was released on March 2nd through March 30th.  The Department of Human Services also released an RFA for CDBG Public Service activities on March 2 through April 3 which includes applications for employment training, youth programs, health services, and child care services.  These RFAs are the only applications being received by the City for CDBG and HOME funds in the FY 2013 Budget Development Process.

For questions regarding the affordable housing funding RFA process, please contact the Office of Grants Monitoring and Administration at 207-6600.  For questions regarding the RFA process for public service activities, please can contact the Department of Human Services at 207-5920. 

The City will be holding two public hearings, one on April 18th and one on June 21st to provide the public with an opportunity to be heard by City Council regarding the City’s CDBG, HOME, ESG, and HOPWA funds, and we would welcome you to attend these hearings and providing input.

 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER), Program Year 2010

 The Program Year (PY) 2010 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) illustrates the City of San Antonio’s efforts to coordinate funding to deliver comprehensive community development projects and services to its citizens. This report summarizes how federal funds were invested between October 1, 2010 and September 30, 2011 (Program Year 2010) to meet the goals and objectives identified in the 2010-2014 (October 1, 2010 – September 30, 2014) City of San Antonio Consolidated Plan.

 

 

FY 2011-2012 Annual Action Plan/Budget

In accordance with HUD Regulations, the Annual Action Plan/Budget addresses the needs and objectives identified in the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. The FY 2011-2012 Annual Action Plan/Budget was submitted to HUD on August 12, 2011.
