Driving Safety Course

A Driving Safety Course (sometimes referred to as Defensive Driving) allows for Dismissal of a Citation if certain requirements are met.

Upon successful completion of an approved Driving Safety Course, your case will be dismissed by the San Antonio Municipal Court Judge. The violation will not be reported to the Department of Public Safety.

In the event that all requirements are not returned to the San Antonio Municipal Court on or before the due date, your opportunity for ticket dismissal via a Driving Safety Course will be revoked. This could result in a conviction, which would then be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
